Moon River by Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s

While the entire family is gathered in the living room at the unearthly hour of 830am on a cold Sunday morning, i have retreated to my room to escape the mindless chatter of aunties, uncles and cousins. No lahz, kidding though they do seem amazingly chirpy so early in the day! They are queuing to offer incense to ancestors and while awaiting my turn,i shall share my favourite song by one of the most beautiful and elegant actresses ever in one of my favourite movies.

I love Moon River so much, and in this version, i like Hepburn’s warm, mellow vocals and also how the clicking keys of the typewriter form part of the melody.  Quite a different treatment from Frank Sinatra. Moon River, written for Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany’s, won the Oscars for Best Original Song. Click to revel in the beauty of the song and Hepburn!

Hepburn is breathtakingly gorgeous and effortlessly stylish-check out her radiant grin when she looks up. They just don’t make Hollywood stars like that anymore, do they?
